Valves & Controllers
One of the most costly commodities in modern horticulture is labour. In an effort to reduce these costs more and more growers are looking towards automating their irrigation systems.
The most poular method in use is solenoid valves connected to an electric control panel. However on exsisting systems or remote parts of the farm it is usually less expensive to install battery operated electronic controllers. Ranges of electronic control panels are available incorporating split second accuracy and reliability.

Available in 4 - 96 station (zone) outputs
2 wire: Heron, Logic, Tonik
Suitable for golf courses and larger horticultural enterprises e.g. fruit farms, large nurseries etc.
These controllers operate via a 2 core (sometimes 3 core) cable interconnecting solenoid valves via decoders. Ideal if installing an irrigation system where the total number of valves is not known i.e. allows for future expansion, or where the valves are a long way away from the controller.
New from March 2006: DC version of Heron 2 wire controller.
